Garibaldi Square

Garibaldi square lies at the beginning of Eugenio Chiesa Avenue, in front of the Sanctuary of the Mercy and it dates back to the end of the 1800s. This square, which is rich in vegetation, has in the middle the marble monument of Giuseppe Garibaldi which was raised in 1900. On the north-east side the building of the bank of Italy faces the square.
During the last war, a now closed air-raid shelter was excavated in the subsoil. A new paving of the square has been recently made.
