Castelpoggio.

It lies to the north of Carrara, along the main street which connects it with the village of Fosdinovo and which was once a transit road for the pilgrims walking to the Lunigiana and to the Apennine passes. In the parish church which is dedicated to Maria's birth, is preserved a valuable marble pulpit and a high-relief representing the Madonna with the child, dating back to the first half of the 16th century.
